Trish O'Brien

Occupational Therapist

Trish has over 20 years of experience in working with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related Developmental Disabilities in special schools, Special Education Units, Early Childhood Development Programs (ECDP), and mainstream classrooms. She has experience in supporting individuals from a range of cultural backgrounds, and has spent time living and providing OT services to individuals at remote locations, such as Thursday Island.
Trish has knowledge and understanding of procedures within the Education system in terms of the verification process, the provision of Individualised Learning Plans for special needs students and the way in which the system provides support for children on the spectrum.

Trish provides comprehensive assessments and reports for a range of issues, such as: sensory processing difficulties, fine and gross motor, and developmental difficulties.

Trish developed and facilitates a range of “Early-Intervention” Programs, which are run at Spectrum Psychology Centre.
